Public Records Request

Note:  Most court case files are public and do not require a Public Records Request. If you are seeking court case file information, please visit the Accessing Court  Records page.

Effective January 1, 2010, rule 10.500 of the California Rules of Court (PDF) sets forth comprehensive public access provisions applicable to the judicial administrative records maintained by state trial and appellate courts, the Judicial Council, and the Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC).

Please direct requests for access to judicial administrative records maintained by the San Diego Superior Court to:

San Diego Superior Court Executive Office
1100 Union Street
San Diego, CA 92101
Phone: (619) 844-2233
Email: [email protected]

The Superior Court's Executive Office hours are 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday - Friday.

The San Diego Superior Court will make identifiable judicial administrative records available upon request, unless the records are exempt from disclosure under rule 10.500.  Records may be subject to payment of a fee pursuant to subdivision (e)(4) of rule 10.500.
