- A trial date must already be scheduled in your Family Law case in order to submit exhibits. Trial exhibits submitted in a case that does not have a trial date already scheduled will not be accepted.
- Trial exhibits must be uploaded at least five (5) court days prior to the scheduled trial date.
- Trial exhibits must be served on all other parties in the case at least five (5) court days before the scheduled trial date. Failure to serve your exhibits upon all parties timely may result in the court not considering your exhibits at the hearing.
- You may submit your trial exhibits to the court in the following manner:

NOTE: Exhibit submissions to the Application are limited to 100 MB. Accepted file types are as follows:
Text .txt (ASCII characters only) PDF .pdf Word .doc, .docx Image .png, .jpg, .jpeg Video .mp4 - Hard copies of all exhibits must be brought to courtroom the day of the Trial, Long Cause Request for Order Hearings and Evidentiary Hearing for admitting into evidence.

- When submitting your trial exhibits to the court, do not submit filings such as a Proof of Service, Request to Postpone Trial, Request to Dismiss, Declaration of Military Status, Authorization to Appear, Change of Address, Interpreter Request/Cancellation Form, etc., or any other submission other than trial exhibits. These forms mentioned above must be filed in the Small Claims Business Office and will not be considered if submitted through the Exhibit Upload application.
- Pursuant to San Diego Local Rule 2.5.6, “…Exhibits must be legible and complete, and not require the use of another resource to hear or view the exhibits.” The following are specifically prohibited and ARE NOT ALLOWED for exhibit submission:
- Compact Discs (CDs)
- Digital Video Discs (DVDs)
- Other types of digital storage devices
- USB flash drive (thumb drive)
- External file-sharing links such as Google Drive
- For exhibits containing multiple pages, each page must clearly display its page number on the front (e.g., Page 1, Page 2, Page 3, etc.).
- Exhibit files uploaded to the application on behalf of the Petitioner must be named using the prefix "Exhibit" followed by a sequential number. Examples include: Exhibit1.PDF, Exhibit2.PDF, Exhibit3.JPG.
- Exhibit files uploaded to the application on behalf of the Respondent must be named using the prefix “Exhibit” followed by a sequential letter (Example: Exhibit A.PDF, Exhibit B.PDF) and then going to double letters if needed after Exhibit Z.PDF (Example Exhibit AA.PDF, ExhibitBB.PDF).
