San Diego Superior Court Closed Monday, September 7, 2020

In observance of the Labor Day statewide holiday, the San Diego Superior Court will close all courtrooms and business offices on Monday, September 7, 2020.

The public is urged to visit the Court’s website at sdcourt.ca.gov to handle traffic tickets or obtain court information.

San Diego Superior Court to Form a Local Committee On Bias

The San Diego Superior Court announced the formation of a committee to assist in maintaining a courtroom environment that is free of bias or the appearance of bias. The California Standards of Judicial Administration, Standard 10.20, calls on courts to prohibit bias through the integrity and impartiality of individual judges and throughout the larger court system, including counsel, court personnel, witnesses, parties, jurors, or any other participants.

COVID-19 Update

San Diego Superior Court Jury Service Dismissed through September 11, 2020

Due to the on-going COVID-19 pandemic, jury trials are suspended through September 17, 2020.

Currently, no jurors have been summoned for dates past May 23, 2020. Individuals who deferred jury service to a date between May 26 – September 11, 2020, will not need to report, and jury service will be considered complete.

People who originally had jury service scheduled during the Court’s closure date range (March 16 – May 22, 2020), but deferred their jury service for a date after September 11, 2020, should please monitor the Court’s website for additional information.

San Diego Superior Court Announces Planned Website Closure on Saturday 8/8/2020, from 6 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The San Diego Superior Court will shut down its website (sdcourt.ca.gov) for routine maintenance on Saturday, August 8 from 6:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

The website closure will affect all San Diego Superior Court webpages.
