San Diego Superior Court Jury Service Dismissed through August 14, 2020

July 30, 2020

Due to the on-going COVID-19 pandemic, jury trials are suspended through August 17, 2020.

Currently, no jurors have been summoned for dates past May 23, 2020. Individuals who deferred jury service to a date between May 26 – August 14, 2020, will not need to report, and jury service will be considered complete.

People who originally had jury service scheduled during the Court’s closure date range (March 16 – May 22, 2020), but deferred their jury service for a date after August 14, 2020, should please monitor the Court’s website for additional information.

Virtual Services Offered by the San Diego Superior Court

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, in-person services at the San Diego Superior Court remain limited, but virtual hearings, workshops and other online services have increased.

Virtual Hearings

Since the first San Diego Superior Court virtual hearing occurred on April 6 for a Criminal case and with the launch of remote hearings for Traffic cases on Friday, July 17, more than 100 courtrooms are in use across all case types
