Family Law Courthouse
The Family Court has jurisdiction over all cases involving dissolutions of marriage, child support and child custody/visitation issues filed in the San Diego area proper. The Family Court building downtown is made up of six courtrooms at the 1555 6th Avenue location and two courtrooms at the Madge Bradley Building at 1409 4th Avenue; an independent calendar section, business office and records section. Both locations hear divorces and domestic violence restraining orders.

From Highway 94 westbound
Take Interstate 5 north.From Interstate 5 northbound Exit Sixth Avenue. Turn left on Sixth Avenue and continue to Cedar Street.
From Interstate 5 southbound
Take the Front Street (Civic Center) exit. Stay in the left lane of the exit (the sign points to Second Avenue). Continue straight ahead (you are on Cedar Street) to Sixth Avenue.
From Interstate 5 northbound
Exit on Sixth Avenue (San Diego). Turn left on Sixth Avenue and continue to Cedar Street.
From Highway 163 southbound
Exit on Ash Street. Turn right on Fifth Avenue. Turn right on Cedar Street and continue to Sixth Avenue.
From Interstate 8 (either direction)
Take Highway 163 south. From Highway 163 southbound Exit on Ash Street. Turn right on Fifth Avenue. Turn right on Cedar Street and continue to Sixth Avenue.
Public parking lots are available around the courthouse. These public parking lots charge a fee.
Metered parking is also available on the streets surrounding the courthouse.
