Superior Court of California - County of San Diego: Traffic: Court Appearance Scheduling

Court Appointment Scheduling

Your time is valuable!  Why waste precious time waiting in line or on the phone??
You may now schedule an appearance in court convenient to YOUR schedule!

Kearny Mesa Traffic Court:
EFFECTIVE MARCH 1, 2015, ALL COURTROOM APPEARANCES must be scheduled.

Important points to remember:

  • Your priority appointment covers ONLY the case(s) you have scheduled. You may not be heard on additional cases.
  • If you have more than one case, call the Kearny Mesa Traffic Court at (858) 634-1800, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m., to schedule your appointment..
  • Scheduling an appointment is NOT a continuance. If you have a current court date that is earlier than your appointment, your appointment will NOT prevent or delay civil assessment, collection referral, or warrant issuance.
  • Failure to appear may result in a $300 civil assessment penalty being added to the original bail and a referral to a collection agency pursuant to Penal Code §1214.1, or issuance of a warrant for your arrest and/or suspension of your driver license. In addition, if your account is referred to civil assessment, you may be subject to wage garnishments and bank levies through the Franchise Tax Board Court Ordered Debt Collection Program (see Cases in Collection). Cases referred to the collection agency require a visit to the courthouse during business office hours to schedule a courtroom appearance.

ANY WARRANT, CIVIL ASSESSMENT, OR LICENSE HOLD WILL REMAIN UNTIL A COURT APPEARANCE IS MADE.
