Probate – Central and North County Divisions Imaging
On August 1, 2011, the San Diego Superior Court began an Electronic Filing and Imaging Pilot Program designed to reduce paper filings and storage, facilitate electronic access to civil court files and, in Phase Two, allow remote electronic filing (“E-File” or “E-Filing”) of papers in civil cases. The ultimate goal of the Program is to create a paperless or electronic file in all civil cases, as well as in other case categories.
The Program has been expanded to include the probate divisions. Cases initiated on and after March 1, 2012 are imaged. In addition, papers in probate cases that were initiated by filing in the Central Division on or after January 4, 2010 and North County on or after January 1, 2009, will be imaged and stored in an electronic court file.
