Superior Court of California - County of San Diego: Appeals

Appeals

Welcome to the San Diego Superior Court Appeals web page. Our goal is to provide you with information and links to important resources to help you begin the appeal process.

What is an appeal?  It is an action you may file if you disagree with the outcome of your trial/administrative hearing and/or believe an error was made by the judge, jury or hearing officer that decided your case.  An appeal is a request for a review by a different court than the one which heard your trial/administrative hearing.  The court that hears your appeal is known as a "higher court," an "appellate court," and/or a "reviewing court."

The court that hears your appeal depends on the type of case you are appealing.
