Employer Information

  • Labor Code section 230(a)  provides that an employer may not discharge or in any manner discriminate against an employee for taking time off to serve as required by law on an inquest jury or trial jury, if the employee, prior to taking the time off, gives reasonable notice to the employer that he or she is required to serve.
  • If your employee is on Telephone Standby, they will call a recorded message or check our website to find out whether they have to report. At the end of one week, Telephone Standby jurors not requested to report will have fulfilled their service obligation.
  • Time sheets will be provided to your employee to clock in and out. Please note that time sheets cannot be recreated, so you may wish to remind your employee to provide a clocked time sheet to you. After their jury duty, your employee can request a Work Certificate by clicking here.
