 | Family Law Facilitator's Self-Help Center
The Family Law Facilitators assist self-represented individuals in family law matters by explaining court procedures and helping fill out court forms.
What services are available?
Our Mission
The Family Law Facilitator's Self-Help Center is dedicated to helping unrepresented litigants through:
- Better understanding of family law procedures
- Increased access to the family law courts
- Quicker resolution of family law matters
What Can I Expect?
When you visit the Family Law Facilitator's Self-Help Center, you will fill out an intake form describing the issue you want to address. A staff person will review your request and direct you to the best resource to answer your questions.
If you need more specialized services, someone will sit down with you and provide procedural assistance, an understanding of the system, and guidance on completing the forms.
What Should I Bring with Me?
- A copy of all court documents relating to your case. Your papers should be organized by date, with the oldest paperwork on the bottom and the newest on the top.
- Paycheck stubs for the last two months
- Your latest tax return
- Other income and expense information
- Proof of disability, if you are disabled
- Filing fees, if you don't qualify for a fee waiver
